Discovery centres

The myki discovery centres house all the equipment you will experience when you buy and use myki on Victoria's public transport network.

The friendly myki Community Relations Team staff at the centres can show you how myki works through a range of interactive displays. 

myki discovery centre Southern Cross Station

The myki discovery centre at Southern Cross Station is open:

• Monday to Friday 6.00 am to 8.00 pm
• Saturday and Sunday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm

Note: The centre is closed on public holidays.

Currently the centre is able to assist customers to:

• buy a myki ($15 Full Fare and $10 Concession starter packs)
• replace a defective myki on the spot
• exchange a myki full fare to concession (or vice versa) 

• register and order their myki online
• top up their myki using a myki machine
• check their myki status, including the balance on their myki, using a myki machine
• learn how to use myki by using demonstration equipment

• call the myki call centre using a direct hotline

• obtain brochures (in English, Arabic, Italian, Greek and Mandarin)

• obtain and lodge forms
• get advice and information from our Community Relations Team staff.

Soon the myki discovery centre will operate as a myki retailer - where you will be able to buy a myki and top it up with value over the counter.

The myki mobile discovery centre is currently visiting many sites in metropolitan Melbourne, providing on-the-spot opportunities for Victorians to experience how myki works and what it has to offer.
