Buying a myki is simple. You can top up when you purchase so you are ready to travel straight away.

• A full fare myki costs $6.00 and a concession, child or seniors myki costs $3.00. 
• When you buy a myki it has no value on it, so you need to top up before you travel.
• You can top up at the time of purchase if buying online or via the myki call centre.

Getting your myki is easy. Buy a registered myki using credit/debit card:

• online
• from the myki call centre
• by completing and lodging a myki Registration Form.

Buy a myki that is not registered:

• online*
• from the myki call centre*
• at staffed Metro Premium stations
• at the myki discovery centre at Southern Cross Station
• at the MetShop
• at a regional myki retail outlet
• progressively from myki machines (full fare myki only) at selected stations.  Use the online locator tool for detailed information on where this service is now offered.
  
  
  

*You need to provide your postal details so the myki can be sent to you. These details are deleted within 30 days of the myki being mailed to you.

In future, you will be able to buy a myki:

• at metropolitan retail outlets including 7-Eleven.
