Touching on and off
Remember your three Ts simply top up before you travel and don’t forget to touch on and touch off.

To touch on and off correctly, place your myki flat to the reader.  Do not bend.  Do not swipe.  Do not wave.  Simply hold it flat and still.

Topping up your myki online
Make sure your myki is always topped up before you travel. You can top up your myki online at myki.com.au even if your card is not registered.

Click on the top up icon and simple follow the prompts, allow at least 24 hours for processing but remember your myki will not be topped up until you next touch.

Checking my myki balance
Checking your myki balance is important so you know when you need to top up.

To view your balance and travel history, use the blue myki check machine.  You can also check your balance at a myki machine, at a retailer or on screen when you touch on or off.

Keeping track of your balance means that you will know when to top up so you’re always ready to go.

Register when you first purchase your myki or any time afterwards and know that your balance is protected from the moment you report it lost or stolen.
